Liquid EPDM coatings are just as effective roofing material as the sheet form coatings commonly used in the roofing industry. In many cases, they are better. They combine all the benefits of EPDM rubber roofing with the flexibility of using a liquid.

You can't have an easier installation process than you have using Liquid EPDM Coatings. For one, you only need to apply a single coat of liquid EPDM rubber to get an effective layer of protection. Plus, it is as easy as applying a layer of paint. In fact, in some ways it is even easier, because you needn't apply a primer.
To fully understand the benefits of liquid EPDM coatings, you must first understand the role that roof coatings play. Roof coatings are extra layers of protection for your roof. They can extend the life of your roof, because they help defend against the elements and possible scratches and leaks. They can be used on a variety of roofing materials, including metal and rubber roofs.

What Are Liquid EPDM Coatings? There is sometimes confusion between roof coatings and roof cement. While similar, these two products are not identical. Roof coating has the consistency of thick paint. It is applied just as paint is with either a roller or a brush. Liquid EPDM coatings can even be poured on and then smoothed out with a roller. The EPDM rubber will flatten out to form an even layer.
Roof cement is a little bit different. It has a thicker consistency, more like paste than paint. This product is spread with the use of a trowel and is usually used for touch-ups instead of over all applications. One of its main uses is to spot seal leaks.

The Versatility of Liquid EPDM Coatings Liquid EPDM coatings offer a lot of flexibility. They can conform to any roof and can easily be applied around flashing, chimneys, and other roof obstructions. Being a liquid, it cures and forms a seamless membrane. Also, liquid EPDM coatings can be used on residential and commercial properties, as well as on motor homes, since it easily conforms to the shape of any surface.
In addition to flexibility, liquid EPDM coatings are versatile.

Coatings and sealants need to be useful in a variety of settings, because roofing conditions are not always the same. Climate can have a strong impact on installation and maintenance. Liquid EPDM offers this versatility because it can be applied under a variety of conditions. You do not have to wait for specific weather conditions to begin applying the roof coating. Though, certain conditions must apply for the curing process to begin.

You can find great deals on liquid EPDM coatings and other roofing supplies on the Internet. Usually, the more you buy, the bigger the discount. Since coating needs to be purchased in bulk anyway, this is a great way to save.
